EVENTS AT CURRACLOE YOGA CENTRE, WEXFORD 2010
We had the most magical week in Ireland this May – Please see our photo/video montage below to get a real feel for the place.
The holiday was hosted at the Curracloe Iyengar Yoga Centre in Curracloe, just a 5 minutes walk from a protected forest and the miles of beautiful, unspoilt beach at Curracloe. We will definitely be returning there again to the wonderful hospitality of Jim and Chris, the expert local help from Mary (and entertainment from Jackie) and the lovely people and animals of Curracloe.
The beach at Curracloe is one of the finest in Ireland. With over 12 miles of sandy beach, it is a haven for nature-lovers, bird & wildlife enthusiasts, walkers and riders alike. The beach and village were used in the filming of Saving Private Ryan and you can walk to the beach and woods from Curracloe House without using any main roads or passing any cars. It’s a wonderfully peaceful and magical place.
We will be hosting a weekend of Yoga, Poetry and Nature in November 2010 and returning for our May week long retreat in 2011.

Rachel is delighted to be returning to Wexford this November to run a two day workshop at Curracloe Yoga Centre.
The weekend will be suitable for all levels and complete beginners may attend the first session on Saturday as a taster before opting to join in for the rest of the weekend. Residential options are also available (prices & further details coming soon) and both days will include light refreshments. On Friday evening there is a concert at Wexford Opera House featuring Mike Scott (formerly lead singer and founder of The Waterboys) which many of us will be attending, so why not make it a weekend of Yoga, Poetry, Music and Nature! Fly direct to Dublin (2 hours via a very pleasant coach journey taking you directly from Dublin Airport to Wexford town centre, only 2 miles from the yoga centre) or from Luton to Waterford (40 mins away – we can arrange a pick up or the taxi price is around €60 one way).
