Join Rachel Lovegrove and Hannah Lovegrove for their annual long weekend of Iyengar Yoga at Middle Coombe Farm, a beautiful 16th-century estate set within 400 acres of peaceful Devon countryside. Owned and managed by Angela Malyon, this wonderful setting is perfect for a country retreat, with no light or noise pollution, fabulous woodland walks and a yoga practice space with heated floor.
With small group numbers and a relaxed rhythm to the days, this retreat offers the opportunity to step away from daily demands and immerse yourself in practice, nature and quiet reflection.
Across the four days we will explore six asana sessions and two early morning pranayama practices, alongside time to walk the land, rest and enjoy nourishing meals together. Guests are also welcome to make use of the heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub — perfect for unwinding after practice or simply enjoying the stillness of the surrounding countryside.
Whether you come alone or with a friend, the retreat is designed to create a warm and supportive atmosphere for students of Iyengar Yoga to deepen their practice in a beautiful and welcoming setting.

Room Descriptions
The Farmhouse
The main farmhouse is full of traditional character. It has a cosy sitting room with a roaring log fire, and a large kitchen and breakfast room that opens straight onto the patio, where there's outdoor dining and a barbecue. The pool, hot tub and gardens are a short walk away, and the yoga barn is just across the way, looking out over the meadow.
There are six lovingly furnished bedrooms. Two have en-suite bathrooms. The other four (one private bedroom and the three rooms that make up the Luxury Dorm) share a large bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet, plus a separate WC.
Luxury Dorm: our great-value option
Three of the farmhouse bedrooms are "walk-through" rooms, meaning you pass through one to reach the next. We book them together as one shared, luxury dorm-style space for up to five people:

The Snug, just off Bedroom 3: one person
The dorm shares the main farmhouse bathroom (bath, shower and toilet) and separate WC with one other bedroom. The bathroom is on the landing, just across from Bedroom 3. [Find out more about the Luxury Dorm]
Allensdown Barn
The rest of the rooms are in Allensdown Barn, a two-storey converted stone barn a few steps from the farmhouse, right beside the pool. Downstairs there's a large kitchen-diner, a sunny living room and one en-suite bedroom. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms share a large bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower.

Farmhouse Bedrooms - All six farmhouse bedrooms are different and full of character. Two have en-suite bathrooms. The remaining four share a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, plus there is an additional separate toilet.

BEDROOM 2 – THE OAK ROOM

This room can be arranged as a double or twin. It has a vanity basin, with the main bathroom just a couple of steps across the landing.

Accessed via Room 3, this is the largest bedroom in the house, featuring a super-king four-poster bed. Maximum occupancy of 2.
